Scott Kraker and I had
quite an adventure this weekend down at the Cornhusker National in Kearney Nebraska.
We started our trip on Friday morning at 6:20am and headed south only to run
into a serious skating rink on 35 from the MN state line down to Ames Iowa.
We saw approximately 30 car & trucks in the ditch, 10 of which had rolled
over many times. We also saw about 6 jack knifed semi's and horse trailers as
well, very scary stuff. We arrived in to Kearney at 2:40pm just in time to make our
cruiser practice. We decided to practice Friday and race Saturday & Sunday.
As we arrived in Kearney we were greeted by tons
of our Minnesota
racing family. All in all Minnesota
did really well down there in Open, Cruiser & Class. All The Racing was
represented by Scott Kraker, Logan & Tanner
Paige, Tom Rixen & Paul Springer. Saturday
evening was an incredible 73 degree's and sunny. Most all of the Minnesota people hung
out together in the Ramada parking lot on Saturday night. Most of the evening
was spent discussing how Doug Knollmaier thought the
All You Can Eat Steak Buffet was the best restaurant in the world, this was
heavily debated. It was an incredible experience and super fun traveling with
the Minnesota BMX family. The results of the ATR Team are below:
